Waterproofing under flooring

The product should be applied using a long-haired roller, brush or trowel, in two uniform layers (approximately .4 mm per layer). Wait for the first layer to dry before applying the second layer crosswise to the first layer (approximately one hour at 23°C and 5% humidity) and to the substrate with a residual humidity of less than 3%). The final thickness of the two layers must be at least .8 mm, in order to create a continuous and flexible layer. The layer should be protected from adverse weather conditions until completely dry. When using Aquasil Smart as an anti-fracture layer on a cracked substrate, a reinforcing fabric should be embedded in the first layer while it is fresh, and pressed into it with a notched roller. Once the layer is dry, a second layer should be applied to completely cover the reinforcement. Please note that drying times may be longer with additional thickness. Aquasil Smart is suitable for application under tile installations. Tiles (ceramic, stone or mosaic) can be installed 4 hours after applying the second layer, at a temperature of +23°C and a humidity of 5%, using a compatible cementitious adhesive depending on the type of tile and the surface.
